Imagine you are on your bike, pedaling towards your next destination, a foreign university in Iran, Turkey or China. Your mind is empty and your blood pumping. Imagine now you are following a lecture at a foreign university, introducing yourself to local students, sharing your story and exchanging experiences. Stop imagining. You can do this. With the study road.
The Study Road combines Adventure & Learning
As the adventurous pioneer Marco Polo opened undiscovered and rich routes, expanding knowledge and the limits of the known world, the Study Road will revolutionise the way you’ll look at the world, yourself and your future.
This annual study road trip was organised for the first time in 2013 when a group of 7 international students rode their bikes for 12.500 km from Istanbul to Beijing in 22 weeks visiting 8 universities along the way. At each university the participants followed courses focused on Big History, International Relations and Corporate Sustainability making it both a physical and mental challenge.
The participants rode from Turkey to Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazachstan and China.
The study road challenges the status quo of education by making it fun, adventurous and interactive so that both local and international cycling students can exchange knowledge, culture, ideas and experience.
The Study Road is the premiere way to feed international and inspirational leadership careers at an unbelievably quick 100 km per day pace. Students and young professionals will join each other and pull each other through this unique life learning experience.
Quite a kickass way to get your degree!!
